How it Started
In 2014, Sunderland AFC reached the League Cup Final at Wembley. It was at this point that Michael Ganley started displaying the extensive range of memorabilia which he has collected over the course of thirty years. It consisted of shirts, tickets, balls, medals, cups and much more. It has continued to grow since this date with many opportunities to hold events and charity-raising benefits since then.
It all started at Villette Road Library in Hendon – ‘pop in and see the free display we have open today from 9:30 till 5:45. bring your camera along and get some photos in iconic shirts medals and FABIO BORINI GOAL SCORING BOOTS FROM WEMBLEY ! ‘
The event lasted three whole days and we couldn’t be happier with the response. We do this not just to show our collection but to have it brighten the days of fans from all walks of life. Any other group would keep these items behind glass but we strive to let them be a part of something more. Allowing fans to wear match worn shirts from their heroes or hold awards from fantastic players creates memories that will last a life time and brings them closer to the brilliant game we love.
